Why did you become a personal trainer?
To assist clients in finding balance & joy in their bodies, by shifting their perception of their body, and relationship to food, sleep, exercise, and taking empowered action.
What is one of the proudest moments you've had a client?
When my 75 year old client realized that he could do what he once said he couldn't. The joy on his face was a blessing to me!!!
What do you specialize in?
Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, Mindful eating, and more recently spin certified and Onnit (which is similar to HIIT ... but balanced with mobility, and endurance training).
Who do you look up to?
Wellness industry: Joseph Pilates; Aadil Palkhivala (an Iyengar Yoga trained teacher); David Englund (was certified in Pilates through his program), Elesa Commerse (my Meditation Teacher for 6 years now); In Life: God; MLK; President and Mrs. Obama; Mother Theresa; the Apostle Paul; Helen Keller; and many others who have made sacrifices to better the lives of others.

What is something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
I used to be an avid swimmer that my mom nicknamed me Hove (which means fish in my language). She thought I spent more my time in water than out. She believed if I didn't have school I'd spend all my time in the water.
What is your favorite movie?
'The Notebook' -I'm a sucker for sap ;)!
